Also, how much room do you have to devote to your water distiller? With water distillers you have two main categories to choose from, auto distillers, and countertop distillers.

Auto distillers offer the convenience of more water and distill on-demand. They also require less frequent maintenance when compared with countertop distillers. However they require a larger more designated area and require that they are permanently hooked into a water source.

Countertop water distillers offer the convenience of being portable, easy to set up, and less expensive. Most distill 1 gallon at a time and shut off automatically when it is finished. You can make subsequent gallons of distilled water as long as you are there to fill up your steam distiller.
